very little problems with flash, twist and poor fitting parts. Take your time and test fit all parts while building, may have to modify some. Comes with many options for wheels tires, engines and interior going to need clamps when fitting body to chassis to prevent listing to one side. Have to build a stock version to tow this one.

Let's start with the positives. Lots of options including two sets of wheels, rear springs, windows, steering wheels, two hoods and many other nice things. Some of the parts went together so seamlessly like the windows, front end, rear and front lights. Most of all it was an unusual car in real life and it is a great one to have on the shelf. The not so good. Like Wayne mentioned in his review the front seats are way out of proportion, the front suspension is non existent, the see through rear wheel wells are a bad design, and the exhaust options are poor. These are all things that can be fixed. I also used different seats from the scrap box. I beefed up the front suspension by adding a tube to hide the axle and used strip stryene to create more suspension pieces. You can use thin styrene to make custom wheel wells to eliminate the see through effect. The exhaust was tricky because the headers set to low for my lowered model so I created a custom dual exhaust. From reading the reviews about this model I knew it was going to be tricky but I happy with the finished product! I wish there were more AMC products available.

OK Modellers, this is obviously an old kit offered again by round 2! hurray for round 2! I really enjoyed this kit and it makes for a nice model. Now for the issues I experienced, the transmission cutout in the floor needed to be enlarged to get the automatic pan to fit. I found the model lacking a front suspension (just what kinda looks like a straight axle) also needed to shorten the metal front axle by 1/4 inch to get the front wheels under the model. the rear leaf springs make the finished model look a bit odd sitting so high in the back (hey the real car looked odd jacked up too) with the drag slicks on the model it appears the wheelbase VS. the body is incorrect. the headers provided are VERY close to the ground (careful at the speed bumps :) I ended up fabricating a complete exhaust from my parts bin. look at my pics=the rear inside wheel wells must be painted as well as the outside of the interior and top of the chassis because you can see them both on the completed model. the body was nice however if you use the louvered inserts in the rear 1/4 windows as iIdid you must trim a bit of plastic to make them fit properly. the kit has two sets of windows clear and blue, BLUE??? would've been ok if id chosen blue as a body color, would much rather have smoke colored tint. the front spoiler was a mystery and I'm not sure I installed it correctly? both bumpers are to be glued to the body and of course they were both attached to the trees on the tops of the bumpers which visibly shows up. the bucket seats were WAY out of proportion (narrow) so I used a pair from my bench stock. Please don't mistake any of this review for negativity, just the issues I experienced. this builds up into a nice model for it's age! also PLEASE fellow modellers when leaving a review lets try a bit harder than nice build lots of flash ETC. just to get points! people actually read these! Happy Modelling!
