Great rocket, but...

The contents of this kit seem to be a little lacking compared to the other Aerotech kits. The fins will need quite a bit of cosmetic work around the base. The flashing left over from the mold was pretty sloppy. Be warned that if you plan to clear coat this rocket after painting, the decals do not accept the clear coat at all. The clear will just pool on top of them giving you a rippled water look. Also the piston seemed to be way too tight and needed quite a bit of work to get a better free flowing fit. Overall I would still say this is going to be a very fun rocket and seems durable enough to last for many flights.
SUMO

Best Rocket kits Ever! Great quality. A mid-power rocket acts and sounds like a high-power rocket. It is a reasonable cost for each flight and the overall cost of ownership. I recommend all Aero-Teck rocket kits for this reason. I wish they made more model options. I would like to see a military rock series. Be advised. These rockets fly high and fast. I have launched three and was not able to recover due to the launch location, and it was a certified NAR launch site. But I do use top power. Go big or go home, and I went home with one less rocket each time. lol, have fun... building them is just as enjoyable.
Liftoff weight
This rocket is among the heaviest 4 inch rockets of its type. That makes it easier to fly in a small field and it certainly is very easy to build. However it also means you need more motor (cost) to fly it. LOC Precision kits with wood fins are lighter and U.S. Rockets kits are lighter still while being strong too. More motor mount diversity too. The Sumo is a good kit.
Great Demo Bird
Big enough to impress, heavy enough not to outfly a small field. This is a great rocket to use for those demo flights where you don't have much room to work with. Does about 1000 feet depending on which G motor you use, and of course you can stick an 29mm H or I in it too for a Level 1 cert flight.
Got some weight to it
Just finished building it. I haven’t launched it but I have my doubts about the piston ejection. We will see how it works out though. This is one heavy rocket. I hoping to 100’ off the ground off a G80
