Looks good, paints up well
This item is made of resin or something like it. Perhaps it is 3-D printed. It comes painted. They are surprisingly heavy, but that's good as it keeps them on the flatcar. There was no filing necessary and they can be used as is. However the details on these cry out for a little painting. I gave the tops of the loads a wash in black, and the sides of the crates a wash in medium brown. I dry brushed on a little mud at the bottoms of the crates and a touch of rust on the loads, finishing with highlights in white. I used Tamiya powders but you could just as easily use paint. This improves the looks of the items tremendously.
