Central Valley 40' Freight Car Floors & Frames
These 40ft floors and frames are really nice. I put one together yesterday to use under an old 1970s AHM box car. The parts went together easily and had to car converted over to the new floor in minutes. The coupler pockets accept Kadee couplers (Number 5s, so any brand that is like a Number 5 Kadee will work too). For mounting trucks to them they have a way to use the snap in trucks (Train set type) or adding your own screw mount ones. The detail of the floors are tops, be careful when assembling to not break the brake lines. Also there are the parts for putting the break gear up the end of the car to the brake wheel, and a very nicely molded brake wheel is also included. These 40' Freight Car Floors & Frames cannot be beat for the money. I am going to get more of these sets, they are awesome and I recommend them. Keep those trains running and have a great day!
Central Valley Floors and Frames
For less than 6 provides floors and frames for three box cars, Excellent value, realistic and easy to put together. Have used several floor and frame kits from a number of kit makers. This by far and away is the best buy. May be a bit disappointing, however, to those who want to spend more time putting things together. Not a challenge to assemble.
