Mixed Feelings
Everything is in Japanese/Chinese (I used Google Translator).
This is primarily a snap together model. Nothing in the directions mentions glue. Everything tab and slot I just pushed together, though I did have to sand every tab. The pin and hole (AA guns etc.) parts I glued (Testors worked fine).
The directions were pictorial, which I feel did a great disservice to the kit. The smallest details, binoculars, gun directors and AA gun boxes had to be placed based on an illustration of the entire ship. There are spots along the upper hull that should have some thing, but no instruction as to what that might be.
The aircraft consisted of three planes of four types, including the Ohka. The planes came with square tabs for landing gear, but you have the option of snipping those off, and using either plastic or PE landing gear.
There is extensive PE parts. Note that some should be attached while building, and some can go on after completion. There's the usual rails, AA gun shields and aiming reticle. There's even oars and life preserves for the life boats.
The decals for the ship are stickers. There's also stickers or standard decals for the planes.
It comes with a stand, but no nameplate.
Overall, I'm not sure it's worth the price. I also have the Zuikaku, and it's instructions do say to use glue. Maybe it's a different kit, I don't know yet.
