Avenger 16.5''

The Grumman Avenger kit from Guillow's was the second kit I've built from them. This kit was a basic fun build as the balsa wood was good quality and did not break like I've experienced on another Guillow's kit. Builders of this kit will need to pay special attention to the fuselage tail area structure: slot for the horizontal stabilizer is fragile and can easily break. Another item that some builders may have trouble with is the large greenhouse canopy and the paper details covering the ball turret. The canopy is large and will take time to mask and paint . The kit decals are for an Avenger from the battle of Midway and should be painted blue/gray and light gray. Anyone 10 years old or older will have no problems with this kit. I highly recommend this Guillows kit.
