HobbyBoss 1/35 Soviet T-28E Medium Tank kit #HBO83854
This HobbyBoss kit makes a nice rendition of the T-28E M1937 Late Production medium tank. The tread system is of the individual link type, with no option for the long rubber strip variety. The unit clearly shows how the T-28E deviated from the previous T-28 line, with all kinds of applique armor applications. It comes with a nicely detailed turret top AA MG and is equipped with the 76.2mm L-10 gun that some vehicles had, but lacks the option of a 76.2mm KT-28 How. gun that was normal production, and any main turret radio framework. The T-28 series vehicles shared its main and MG turrets with the T-35 Heavy tank, but I have yet to see a T-35E kit anywhere. The turrets from this kit would make a good starting point though, and the build instructions could give pointers towards the various areas of the applique armor applications, for custom-build. Overall, the kit is of good quality and nicely detailed, and I would recommend it to others.
