The Stupa
The Sturmpanzer IV was a development of the Panzer IV tank, designed to provide a vehicle offering direct infantry fire support in urban areas, it was a 150mm mobile mortar, this was after some lessons learned at the Stalingrad campaign in 1942-3. This kit is in fact a re-release of an older ESCI, and in some details it shows it age, but anyway in the end is a Good+ kit. The tracks are made from normal styrene, very well done and include proper details. The parts in general are nicely detailed, especially the wheels and the superstructure (engine deck, etc.). It comes with two figures, and as a bonus, an almost complete upper part of a Panzer IV tank (for spare parts use!). Decals and Markings for 4 schemes. Cons: The molding is fine but not great, lots of flash. Some parts dont fit perfectly. Some problems fitting the schurzens in the right place. As this is the only way to build this vehicle in 1/72, this kit is very nice and past the test.
The Sturmpanzer
Overall this kit is really nice. Put together it looks fantastic! However its really a pain to build. For starters the treads are not ideal although probably something you would be quite used to if you built any other of their kits. The most annoying part by far is the skirts for the sides as to get them on i had to forget what the directions told me and just glue it straight to the side of the tank. it may have just been me but i doubt it. it does come with a panzer 4 turret though which i used for something else, which is a bonus. Its way worth the price though and looks really good when finished!
