Not a bad model
when I got this model, I was surprised to see the body was designed in 2 halves. It can take a little time and effort to line up the body lines and like I did, you may have to trim the pins to allow it to lineup better. I used masking tape to hold it in place while the glue dried, then sanded the body along the separation line to make it smooth. then I painted the body as 1 piece so the paint matched completely and the seam line was gone. It is best to test fit each piece in this kit as things get very snug in some cases such as the engine air cleaner, exhaust pipes, and the unusual way you have to stack the frame, then fenders, then interior then body. One mistake can really bugger up every step after.
Not for the beginner
This kit is not for the beginner - the body come in 2 halves and the locator pins are a little off. When gluing the body I found it easer to cut the locator pins off and align it manually. I used a dab of MEK to glue the halves together and when that dried I used liquid glue for final assembly. When the body dried you will need to fill and sand the body seam. After some work I got the body smooth. There is a lot of excess flash and heavy mold lines due to old molds is my guess. Other then those issues it went together great. When it's done I was very pleased with end product. I would recommend this kit but this kit is not for the beginner.
Not for beginners
Don't expect an ultra detailed finished product and you will be OK. I knew not to expect too much as I had seen the reviews. It was, however, more of a challenge than I expected. I expected a 4 piece hood but not an 8 piece body! Way too many seams and alignments! You really can't glue painted body parts together, but you are expected to. The chassis holds the body together so if you're assemble the body then you have a different painting challenge. As a side note this 1935 car comes with an all chrome engine. NOT! Some internet reference photos for proper coloring is in order. Buyer be ware.
Average, was expecting more
Parts look to be crafted reasonably well. Multi-piece body is a bit of an annoyance. The worst part is the chromed engine. Stripping chrome off parts is a pain in the neck. The manual isn't great but usable.
