Bellingrodt Edition #4 Prototype Loco was a Record Setter On May 11, 1936, the streamlined steam locomotive with road number 05 002 reached a record speed of 125.25mph 200.4 km/h on a level route between Hamburg and Berlin near Friesack with a performance measured at 3,400 horsepower. This highly detailed model is the fourth of five limited-edition locomotives in the series honoring renowned German railroad photographer Carl Bellingrodt. The locomotive is equipped with a Marklin Digital mfx decoder and factory-installed sound system. This edition comes in a decorated display case featuring a Bellingrodt photograph of the locomotive mounted on the back wall of the case. Performance features include a high-efficiency propulsion can motor with a flywheel and a bell-shaped armature for exceptionally smooth operation, three powered axles with a traction tire for maximum pulling power, LED headlights and provisions for installing smoke unit #441-7226 (sold separately).
