As a SERIOUS Pontiac Model Builder, this engine color is ESSENTIAL for all my projects-!!
I've been a fan of MCW's colors for years, and I have many bottles of Factory exterior finishes for my Pontiacs and other GM model kits (big fan of factory stock builds). There are a few paints that claim they have PONTIAC ENGINE BLUE, but only have ONE color blue (WRONG!). MCW knows that there were several Engine Blues over the years, and my favorite color blue happens to be what was used in what are most of my favorite year Pontiacs. If you build Factory Stock engines, look to MCW for the correct colors and keep a supply for future builds (seal 'em tight, and store them upside down to preserve). These paints will last a long time: thin and airbrush for a more realistic thickness...you can look at photos of real engines to see how the color 'changes shade' around the hotter engine parts. Add this heat staining to your engine builds, and the underhood detail of your model work will become more realistic (even before adding wiring or other detail-!).
