You get what you pay for.
While the prospect of being able to build an E-50 featuring the elongated turret and 10.5cm gun was appealing initially, this kit is marred by many of the quality issues one would expect from a kit of its price, including but not limited to:
- Poor fit for the two hull pieces, necessitating the use of putty to fill highly visible gaps.
- Tons of flash and other molding errors such as holes being completely filled in.
- Complete lack of metal texture and very low quality weld seams.
- Generally substandard detailing compared to the 1/35 Trumpeter offering.
- Baffling poor track design.
While many of these issues can be fixed with enough skill and patience, unless you're like me and really like this specific turret design and don't mind having to do quite a bit of extra modification to the kit, I would recommend spending a bit more on the generally superior Trumpeter 1/35 E-50.
