This is an excellent product for shining up newly built model kits, or older models that may have faded paint from sitting on the shelf for years. It is a nice gentle product that easily buffs up to a really nice shine. Great for diecast as well. (I noticed how similar this product is to Compact disc cleaner. So I tried it on a scratched CD, and it works well for them as well.) I recommend this product. Happy Model Building!

I just used Novus 1 to clean an old Chrysler model built around 1968. The Testors spray can paint had dulled and looked pretty bad. In less than 20 minutes I had cleaned the whole car with no paint damage. It now has a nice even deep shine to the paint. I was curious to see if a good polishing with Novus 2 would bring out any more shine. After less than 10 minutes polishing the paint job looks brand new and incredibly smooth. As a further test, I used the Novus 2 on an old molded in color promo model car that was getting really dull. The plastic sparkles like a new car. I like this stuff

I have been using this product for years. I use it to remove scratches from windshield glass and for polishing my painted models.
