Very Nice book of Fw-190's Eastern aces, for scale modelers or enthusiasts
This book deals with the performance of the Fw-190 and the pilots who achieved the status of aces fighting in them. Focusing in the eastern front, from late 1942 to the final capitulation in Berlin. Arguably, Russia was the most fertile ground of the Jagdwaffe Aces. This book's makes a nice mix between, the evolution of the (Fw-190) machine in battle, on one side, and the stories of the men who fought, and even died, in it. Pilots like Nowotny, Kittel, Trautloft, Lambert and dozens more, made a name of their own in the Fw-190, fighting the Russians. The stories are telled by units, especially here are the JG-51, JG-54 and some Schlachtflieger units. It comes with very nice tables, full colour aircraft drawing profiles (60), all with explanations at the end of the book. Also has scale plans of the variants cited in the volume. All around the texts, are inserted Black and white images, which also brings support for the Colour profiles. This book make a valuable reference resource for military model makers, or, if you feel curious of the Eastern Front aces, this book is a must.
