A great airbrush for a first-time airbrusher user
If you're thinking about trying an airbrush for the first time, you'll likely see the Paasche VL series mentioned relatively often. This is because it's an affordable, but very capable airbrush, as it's a double action. This set comes with many of the tools you'll want to have to make best use of the VL. If you want to cover a lot of surface, you have large bottles to hold all of the extra paint. If you want to do more detailed work over smaller areas, there's the cup to hold your paint. Yes, this is a siphon feed air brush, so you'll work with slightly higher pressures to get your desired paint flow. But for a 1/72 or 1/48 plastic model airplane, it's perfectly capable of providing the detail and control you want. It's also fairly easy to take down and clean. After doing it a few times after each use, you'll be able to do it in your sleep. Finally, it has a slightly wider feel, which I appreciate. Some might prefer a more pencil form factor though, YMMV.
