Use with Peco turnouts only
I use Peco turnouts because I like the way the spring action holds the points tightly against the rails. When using Peco turnouts you must also use Peco switch motors because other switch motors cannot break the spring tension with the possible exception of Turtles which I have never used. I prefer the Peco PL10E. The E is for the extended actuating arm which is longer than the standard PL10 by an extra 3/8 inch. When used with Peco's PL26 momentary contact switchs and the PL35 capacitor discharge unit, you will experience trouble-free remote turnout operation with no burn-outs. NOTE: The mounting plates--PL9--necessary to attach the motor under the benchwork, are sold separately.
