Good To See This Kit At Last!
This kit was originally released as Revell 85-4326 in 2016 with a Small Block Chevy engine. It was anxiously awaited by the model car hobby community. Apparently, after the first production run, the molds were damaged or destroyed by the vendor in China. Rumor was we would never see this kit again. Well, here we are five years later, only in this rendition, the kit includes the Nail Head Buick engine originally in the Revell 85-4322 '29 Ford Roadster kit. It may be built as a Hi-Boy or with a channeled body and also includes a '32 Ford grill shell. I recommend buying several of these kits as well as the Revell 85-4463 '29 Ford Model A Roadster and kit bash a whole bunch of these Hot Rods.My only cavll with this kit is I really wish Revell would include a fat and skinny, big and little tire and wheel option. I VERY highly recommend this kit!
Nice kit
I just purchased this kit, looking forward to building it once again I built it several years ago and want to build it again I have several ideas how I'm going to mix and match the parts included in the kit, I have plans on purchasing it again in near future and build yet another version I have in mind. I enjoyed it before, I'm definitely going to enjoy it again this time. Of it fits as good as before, it was a great kit to build and fit well with no issues.
How I liked my 30 coupe.
It can be built 2 ways from the box, but you can swap parts from the roadster kit or most any of the Revell 32 Ford kits to build it in many more ways. I built mine with the blown Chevy from the roadster and used the tuck and roll interior from the hiboy in my channeled version with some modification. It's really easy to get confused with the 2 versions so you really have to pay attention.
channeled 30 ford
This kit lets you build a high boy or a channeled version. If you decide to build the channeled version, its pretty tricky getting the body over the interior. You have to actually try and spread the body into place.one thing I did not like about this kit is the lack of wheel options, its either with or without hubcaps.I would only recommend this kit to more experienced builders.
Enjoyed This One
This kit was a pleasure to build mostly because it gave you options on the build. The parts fit nicely with minimal flash and cleaning. Lots of small parts as a challenge as well. A couple of the part numbers did not match up but it was easy to figure out.The final result was great.
Model A Always Turns Heads
I really love these old Ford kits from the T to the 50s. The instructions were a little vague, but it really gave me the inspiration to go for it. Achieved wild results though. My car guy buddies think it is base. More fun than I can put into words. Totally Recommended!
