Reviews : Revell-Monogram 1969 Chevy Nova Yenko

This is the typical quality Revell kit made in 2020. It has 171 plastic parts, with four rubber tires and one metal pin for the rear axle. All the parts are flash free, and the clear parts are clear and packaged separately. The interior paints up really well and looks great. The parts went together well. The engine is well-plumbed. The brake master cylinder looks really neat. So easy to add spark wiring. The chrome parts are nice. The tires have no name (so annoying), but are nice. My only real gripe is that the hood and side decals just disintegrated when I put them in water and the rear window doesn’t flush up to window frame and rear shelf. Still makes a really neat car when done. Nova’s were always so cool to me. Recommended, even for a novice because of the wonderful instructions.

1969 Chevy Nova with a Yenko installed 427 and a 4-Speed Muncie Rock Crusher, one of my DREAM CARS! I saw a magazine cover with a Yenko Nova in Citrus Green with black Yenko stripes and had to build my own 1:25 Scale replica, as well as one each in LeMans Blue and Black Cherry Metallic. My only wish for this excellent kit is that it came with Cragar S/S and American Torque Thrust wheels as options. But, hey, that's what aftermarket suppliers or kit bashing is for, right??!!??

My son works at Michaels (Art and Hobbies) in SoCal. He got this for my birthday. I'm so proud of him. Not only did he get me this but, got an A in auto shop--he's in his second year of college-- pretty good for a music major! I completed this faster than I ever have done an auto kit in my life. This kit fell together. I'm not sure if he knows that his mother and I brought him home from the hospital in her Nova when he was born, probably not, it wasn't a Yenko.

I really like this kit. Excellent casting very little clean up required. Details were crisp inside and out. Instructions were well drawn and easy to follow. Great subject matter. The only problem was aligning the exhaust system. Take care and you should have no problems. I painted mine dark blue with white stripes. The interior was painted in semi-gloss black. I built it box stock with engine wires and fuel lines added. I would recommend this kit to all builders.

Not being a Chevy fan, I picked this up because I heard it was a good kit. I was very happy with the level of detail. The kit had almost no flash, and the detail was really good. Everything went together without any fuss. The 427 is nicely detailed as is the interior. A couple of different color decals so there are plenty of color options available. The only gripe I have are the tires. They just look small for the car. Other then that, I enjoyed this one.

Nova's are my dream car. This model was well done. Little to no flashing at all. All parts have fit perfectly with little sanding to make them fit. Only issues i am having is fitting the body properly to the frame and some of the Nova lettered decals fell off after a few days of sitting before the clear coat was applied. Other than that, I would recommend this to any builder.

Love kits like this. An absolutely wonderful kit to build regardless of skill level. Everything fit well, zero flash and great chrome parts. Decals were a little fussy. Apply decals on the hood before installing the louvers. Revell just continues to produce great muscle car kits, and this is but one of them. Have fun!

I've built this kit multiple times and I always keep one in my stash. It's refreshing to build a kit that just goes together correctly with no extra work necessary. The decals are a joy to work with and I like that you get a choice of stripe colors to use. Easily my favorite Revell kit!

This is one of the best kits I've built. Fit and finish was wonderful, nothing fought me during assembly, and the decal sheet is extensive and has a lot of logos and under hood warning labels. It adds a really nice touch of detail. 100% recommend!

This is a very good kit with lots of nice molded in details . Shares a lot of parts with the Special Edition 2'n 1 Nova SS kit. Very clean and crisp parts with little to no flash and the parts fitment is excellent. An absolute joy to build!

Very little molding flash and twisting. Parts fit together easy no clamps or rubber bands needed. Good detail interior and engine. Options for engine and tires. Went together very well. I will definitely will be building another one soon.

All of the 69 Novas from Revell are great kits. Good fit,clean parts, and very nice detail. Didn't even need to swap any parts from my parts box, this is a nice build as it comes, but I did add some after market detail parts.

This is a fantastic kit.Great detail,great fit.Makes for a great end product and would buy and recommend this kit.You can't go wrong with a revell.I look forward to getting the other Revell novas

Haven't modeled in awhile but this kit was great, pieces fit together very well plus its one of my favorite cars to top it off

Another outstanding Revell 69 Nova kit. No flash and great parts fit, no issues with this one! I need to pick up another for sure.

This was a really fun model. Not the hardest, but the end product looks great. I skipped a few decals and love the end product.

This is a beautiful kit assembles nice has an absolute awesome Big Block 427 and a great decal set. Love this kit.

Nice detail but the one problem with some of the parts is the fit and needs to be shaved to fit proable
