Not top quality, but good price. Handsome fighter jet.
Of the 1/48 MIG 29 Fulcrum's available, this is the cheapest, that's why I bought it. It's a pretty old Revell model, the quality, precision, and fit is below the new generation models. Takes quite some skill, sanding, cutting, to make it look good. Decals are pretty minimal, but has Polish and Russion versions. The MIG 29 is a lean and handsome fighter jet, with good proportions. Despite some difficulties, it was a pleasure building it, well worth the effort.
Revell Monogram 1/48 MiG-29
Monogram kit reboxing. The cockpit and landing gear are definitely pros for this kit. One serious flaw is that the canopy can't be closed, and another flaw is that the HUD doesn't fit under the widescreen. The decals are thick. The kit comes fully armed with a centerline drop tank and four air to air missiles. This is an older kit as well (also very cheap compared to GWH or the Academy kits), and a lot of the details are sub-standard compared to today's newer kits.
Good Kit
I really did enjoy building this kit, despite some minor problems. There were several pieces that needed to have flashing removed. Some fits required a little filling and sanding. My only real problem was the centerline fuel tank. In my opinion it was too large. It rested against the sides of the intake ducts and the front of it hung over the nose gear wheel well. I decided to leave it off. That said, this is a beautiful model and I recommend it highly.
Good model to learn new skills
I got this model to learn how to rescribe panel lines, the price is right to practice and not worry abot screwing up. Model goes together fairly well how ever some putting will be needed, also plastic was extremely hard and brittle so use sharp tools. Axillary tank is extremely oversized so if you wan5 accurate model you will have to make your own. Overall its good model to learn on and practice on
