Visible V8 Engine
I have been building plastic models for 35 years. Specifically, Monogram, Revell, Tamiya, Kyosho, AMT, etc. I found the fitment to be spotty at best. There was a time when Monogram/Revell models were very nice. Over the years, with popularity of model building become lack luster at best, not so much. For this particular model I found that some parts are not necessary. Overall the model is nice, and can be really eye catching with some detailing. I will try this model once more. I am all about second chances. I absolutely love building models. I would love to do this professionally. I gave this one star, because the clear parts were severely scratched, some external parts were warped, as with most kits with Revell. Instructions from Revell are missing details that ARE important. Overall, it is worth the money. You will receive vague instruction on the operation of the internal combustion engine (very cool).
They don't make them like this any more
This is a great project for young car and mechanics enthusiasts. I wouldn't recommend the kit for anyone under 12, as there are very small parts that in certain places have little room for error. The instructions must be followed exactly and even then you can get it wrong. There is no room for extra glue; excessive glue will stop the engine from working properly, especially if it gets inside the cylinder walls. An immense feeling of satisfaction for the young person in your life who completes this model, boy or girl. Not recommended for kids with big hands, as some parts are just to small. A good degree of precision is required to make this model functional, but in the end it's worth it.
Revell took Renwall moulds, and made i worst over time...
There is one reason I give average: Because I have this engine from before the nineties, and at that time, the spark plugs were lights that glow, and there was an electric engine to make it work automaticly... This was a downgrade of the original one... and Renwall made this, together with the visible chassis... From all the models I have built, this is the only one I recomend not to build. Not because its hard, not because its difficult to match everything, but because It is cheating to sell it donwgraded it... get an older edition one, with the sparkplugs and the electric motor.
Visible V8
I give the new one a four out of five only because it's not motorized you don't have to build the distributor anymore there's no little light bulbs for the spark plugs it was a decent little model to build almost burned my fingers building a Chevy though
Amazing Kit!
This is a very well made Engine kit. I've built two of them so far. The instructions are a little hazy in some spots, but the overall build is fun. It takes some skill to make, but overall a nice kit.
Visible Engine Is Excellent
Excellent visible engine with engine stand. Perfect for engine collection. Easy assembly and looks great. Recommend.
really cool engine
I really loved this engine because it showed me how engines work so I could finish my science project for school

Great working model with no defects at all.
I highly recommend this to any model builder. Revell does a great job in all their models A+++
