M4A3 76W HVSS Sherman with Interior

I gave this kit 4 starts not so much because of Kit problems but because of an issue with Rye itself - the kit cam ewith the wrong turret! Rye inluded in the kit the turret from their other Sherman kit - RM-5058 M4A3 76W HVSS EARLY TYPE. what is the difference - the turet for this kit has a round copula and an oval copula, the one in my box had 2 big roundholes for two copulas! I approach Rye customer servce that responded quickly asking for address to ship parts - i provided the address and from there it was a complete silence for weeks (up until now..). I built teh kit waiting patiently but eventually had to craft changes in the turret i had to match it with the other kit parts, converting a big round hall into a small oval one and making room for the optics...it did not make the model look nicer, be close to the actual tank and was not fun, but it worked (see photos). Now to the kit itself - it is a very well done kit, very little cleanup and good fit between the parts. This is not for the faint of heart as it has about 900 parts, most of them for the tracks. The interior is very elaborated and looks great, unfortunately most of it is hidden once the model is complete. Unlike Dragon, you will not find really tiny parts just for the sake of details, all parts , even the tiny ones makes complete sense. Tracks are a lot of parts, but it is pretty easy to build using the includd jig and all is required is a lot of patience.. Bottom line - recomended but just becarefull of Rye quality control....
