First motorcycle - very enjoyable build, decals are tricky
It has been many years since I build a Tamiya kit and I am happy to say the quality is still exceptional. Building a motorcycle was a very nice change from my usual cars kits.
The kit is very complete with plastic tubing for brake lines and cables. The rubber wheels are clean with little or no mold lines. The rims are plated in satin sliver that looks very much like cast aluminum wheel. Decals are provided for all the non-white on the fairing and tank. These were rather hard to apply. In some locations the decals ripped or need to be cut. Continually pressing the decal with a soft towel as they dried helped reduce bubbles and kinks. If I was to redo the model I would paint the white and dark blue, then cut decals and only apply the gradient blue stripes.
I plan on building more Tamiya motorcycle in the future.
