Great extra stowage.
By: danschulz
The extra stowage gear looks fantastic, but modelers listen up. Gear is NEVER stored on the front back or sides of the M113. Everything gets covered in dust and dirt out there. Additionally it will get ripped off the vehicle first time you go through brush. The only thing you'll see is camo nets on the front (typically in their bag), razor wire on the side, and oil cans in the back (not water cans - too dirty). All gear is stored on top. Dirty things like road wheels are never stored inside. Inside space is a premium as it is the only place to keep things dry.
excellent version of M113 A2 good job tamiya.

this was a great little model. ive built one before, decided to do another. the only thing I wish it had was interior detail. but that's ok..it was still a great build. this one has better color/detail than my last one. ive been learning a lot for the past 10 months..lolol. anyway all parts fit well and very little flashing to worry about. Tamiya did a great job on the fine detail and the specs. if your willing to take the time on detail ? this ones worth it. only 4 sprues. its mostly detail after painting that takes time.
TAMIYA M113

I think this is my 1st Tamiya kit and i must say the details are crazy good. It has 4 build options out of the box. It has been many years since i have built any tanks or planes. Not sure when i will get to this one. I needed a few items and this was on sale figured i might as well get it. Cannot beat these prices even with shipping. Lower hull is one piece. Has 4 full sprues of parts. Rubber tracks. Hope they have a P.E. kit for this. Really impressed with this kit.
My first Tamiya

I will edit this later. For now this is for newbis or someone returning to model building after years away. This is my first Tamiya model ever. The instructions aren't great...why... they have a symbol that stands for no glue I didn't know what it meant until later in the build (step 2) when they explained what it meant, needed that info in step one. Read all instructions before beginning the build.
A Nice Version Of The M113
As with all Tamiya models, this kit was well manufactured, the directions were easy to follow, and this was a really cool version of one our most used troop transports. The finished model is very realistic and there are a lot of nice additions to enhance the final model. A little more expensive than the earlier version but a must have for your desert storm military vehicle collection.
Alittle Weird

Another great M113 kit from Tamiya. As with both the M113A ant the M113APC kits. The fit is awesome, no flash and the instructions are almost perfect. The only thing that's bothering me that Tamiya excluded the interior. For the extra stowage and rear fuel tanks..... Other that that a great kit for just about anyone to build.
M113

Tamiya's M113 series are my all time favorite models to build. The fit of the almost flash free parts are near perfect. Along with the best instruction sheets in the business. With plenty of extras in the kit you can build a version from the 60's to today. This model can be build by nearly anyone.
Not correct scale
By: apeflames
This is a very well made model and looks good when finished. My only complaint, which is why I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is, it isn't 1/35th scale. Its a little smaller. Next to all my other 1/35th scale models it looks a lot smaller.
M113A2 APC

All of Tamiya's M113's are great kits. Excellent fit, no flash, and outstanding decals. But, by not including the crew compartment in this kit. And, not giving the builder the option to leave the rear door open. Tamiya dropped the ball.
Good updated kit of the M113 family

This kit builds up nicely into a good representation of the M113A2. Adding the upgrade parts for the Desert Storm vehicle breathes some extra life into this kit. It is well worth buying extras to make additional variants.
I drove one of these once.....

I enjoyed putting this kit together. I drove one of these in the Army at Ft. Benning Officer Basic School for Infantry officers. The model was very detailed and easily assembled with some patience.
Plan to Camo this display of the type used in the 90s'.
The model of the M113 APC looks exactly like the ones I rode in in the 90's, just updated to the 2003 version used in Iraq. I plan on camo'ing this model to display the units used in the 1990s'.
Awsome

Awsome great asset to my War on Terror diorama. 8'x8' description of activity in Iraq, Afghanistan war zone with US Military Bases and Air Strips.
Desert APC

The kid has decent detail a lot of extra accessories. I’m very disappointed. There’s no interior like the other Tamiya APC
Great addition to my armor collection!!

This model was easy to build, no flashing and parts fit was great. I would recommend this kit to all builders.
Great kit
I was so excited when the kit came in the mail. I was on this vehicle in the army. Ready to build!
fun to build

All the parts fit well and good instructions. Only real problem is the rubber tracks.
