An Older Model with Class
I built the older release of this kit wanting a Winter diorama with lots of snow and cold weather. The kit went together with no fit problems and lots of detailing for an accurate undercarriage and suspension. By closely following the instructions I was able to duplicate the complex cross arm suspension that made this truck popular with the German Army. The instructions also include a valuable historic background of the actual vehicles and you get a sense of the usefulness of such a vehicle. Due to the detailing of the parts I would highly recommend that an experienced scale modeler tackle this kit as beginners would be discouraged right from the start. I paired mine with the Tamiya PaK 40 75mm Anti-tank gun as suggested in the Pak 40 instructions showing a 1941 Anti tank gun Platoon. Any additional items will be shown in further detailed photos but here are some to start off with.
This is the old-school Krupp Protze from Tamiya
This kit was really neat. Delicate pieces that build up into a nicely-detailed truck. It also had a driver, and while its showing it’s age, I think that the figure can paint into a really nice piece that add a lot of the model. The really neat addition were the different extra pieces like ammo cans, wooden box, mail/victual bags, machine gun and mortar. The only thing is that the MG42 limits it to mid-war and the panzershreck makes is even later. The wheels are posable and the windshield could be positioned as vertical or flat to the hood. Mine was the old version, but I still think it was nice. I bet the later ones, with more figures and the artillery piece are neat. Highly recommended.
Easy build with tons of accessories

The is a re boxed version of an older Tamiya kit which now comes with added parts for weapons and crew members. The build is easy and straightforward with no fit issues. The detail are still great for a kit this old and the accessories which include the weapons and crew really help bring it to life. I cant imagine you will be using all the included parts for this kit unless you plan on using them for other projects which is added bonus if you like German WW2 gear. The kit also includes several different combinations of marking options and can be combined with other kits such as the PAK 36 to make a complete diorama. I highly recommend this kit for all skill levels.
Love it

It's a great and easy build. Everything went together perfectly as you expect with tamiya products. Tons of extras. I've not painted yet. But I'm leaving the bed off so I can airbrush it and the truck at different times because of the color I'm spraying the wood. I had a very small gap where the hood section went. I'm putting a small amount of putty and working it down. Really the gap was low enough that I didn't have to but I did. I'm sure that I'm the reason there's a gap cause everything went great. It's a must have and a very easy build that doesn't take a lot of time. Great in a diaroma. Highly recommend
I loved this build

All parts fit! The kit comes in a german grey which helps with painting if you choose the grey paint scheme. The included figures are nicely detailed. There is an abundance of gear for truck bed stowage. The only area I found that could have been better is the fit of the engine hood to the fire wall. To fix this, I used a length of stretched sprue to cover the slight gap. Overall, this is a great kit and I would highly recommend to anybody.
Nice rework of an old Tamiya classic

Tamiya had an older Krupp Protze truck kit, which was quite nice, but it's great to see this new version. I particularly like the inclusion of a machine gun and more than one figure (the original kit only had a driver). The extra accessories for adding detail are well done and appreciated as well.
GREAT KIT

Just got this kit, like all Tamiya kits great detail and pieces always fit nicely.
I like the fact it came with so many extra pieces to do with what you please.
When the kits fit together like this it actually makes them fun to build.
Post pics when I have it done.
Good transport

I am currently building this kit. I like all the extras that frequently come with these kits, I have built up a good supply of detail pieces for use in my projects.

I really like this model. I'm planning on displaying it along with the quad 20 I'm putting together.
