Very Handy Tools
This is another tool that I don't know how I ever got along with out it. It is simple and most effective in what it is designed to do. The wire clips that are part of the smaller of the two turntables is amazing is simpilicty of design, and most effective in doing its job. I don't build 1/24 scale race cars so I can't say about how it works in holding a car body, but I can tell you that it is very good in holding tank hulls, and upper decks. The other one I use mostly to hold sprues with smaller parts as a sort of holding area for construction and painting. I purchased an additional set of clips to add more holding ability. But if you do get the set of four alligator clips don't use them for holding a finished figure or whatever, THEY WILL leave tooth marks on your figure or whatever you may be holding. All in all I found this item to be most helpful, and highly recommend it for both the novice and experienced builder.
I have 3 of these!

Before I tried out the first one, was holding things on top of a spray can our something else suitable with some sort of tape. For me at least this was not ideal, and would occasionally experienced a dropped body. I'm referring to the piece with the wire designed to hold car bodies and similar. I wished this was sold separately, I would have purchased more if it were. The other stand while useful, is not as helpful to me, though it has it's place. The included clips are shape/weight sensitive, limiting their versatility, as some pieces are prone to slip off. The aftermarket clips are different, which use alligator clips. These hold better, but can mar plastic surfaces, and don't slip into the stand as easily. Finally, the stand can tip over if used unbalanced, and space inefficient. I prefer my cat scratching pad with rod clips.
New Version Cheap

I've had a set of these stands for a few years. I ordered another to have more places to put more wet parts. I found that the clips on the new one for the turntable are so thin and lightweight that they barely hold in place a very small part. If I put a piece on there that has several pieces on a section of sprue, it won't even stand up; just falls over. My old one has clips strong enough to support most anything I try. I'm surprised that Tamiya went cheap on this very popular item. If you can buy the old, heavier clips somewhere, then the turntable works fine.
Worth the Money!!!

When I got in the hobby I noticed this item, and over the past year been debating of getting it or not. After two orders with hobbylinc, I thought it was time to try it. and I was super surprise of how much this is to use compared to paint can stands.
All I can say is that this item is must for anyone in the hobby. I have bought one so far, but I plan on buying at least 2 more for me and my wife to use. Don't wait to buy, buy it now!!!
A must have tool, its so helpful.

The stand rotates to minimize handling of the model and risking getting fingerprints on wet paint. It also comes with another stand with clips to prop up your work like aircraft as well as 4 clips for holding parts while painting and the stand has slots to fit the clips in. The only drawback is that if you build large scale models like ships or very large aircraft it'll be too small but for any other subject I highly recommend it.
Should have bought this sooner

I’ve always talked myself out of spending money on something that holds your model and parts.(I can make something that works.) I was wrong. Decided to break down and buy it. This is awesome. The ability to spin the body and spin the parts holder is amazing. The turntable spins beautifully while the steel spring loaded holders stay tight against the body without slipping. Worth the money if you’re going to build models.
GREAT ITEM FOR PAINTING MODELS
By: dherold
I LOVE THIS ITEM. WAY BETTER THEN PUTTING A OLD CAN OF PAINT WITH SOME TAPE OR PUTTY ON AND STICKING TO THE INSIDE OF THE ROOF OF YOUR MODEL TO PAINT. I WISH THEY WOULD MAKE ON THAT WAS A LITTLE BIGGER FOR LARGER MODELS. I WILL BE BUYING MORE. I SOMETIME DO TWO MODELS A ONCE AND NEED MORE PLACES TO PUT THE MODELS TO PAINT.
Paint stand

Not a bad product. I had to modify the clips a little bit because I kept wanting to slip off other than that. It's not a bad stand very nice. When painting a model or playing with details, easy to use. If you can turn the whole car around and look at everything I like that over spray comes off with little effort
I like these
By: xberet
This is my second set of these, the first set still functional but really showing it's age so buying another set was a no brainer for me. And oh, if you get irritated by it wanting to spin from the force of the paint spray, a simple gloved fingertip at the base is all you need.
Just bough a second
By: Gopenhym
Been using one of these since I began building again about 2 years ago.Very useful for painting multiple pieces at a time. The spring mount is great for model car bodies but can be a bit finicky to adjust. Just ordered a second one and I can easily see a third in my future.
Great product

Ivery been using the helping hands (2 alligator clips on an adjustblend stand) from harbor freight to paint all my stuff, THEN I FOUND THIS. This holds bodies soooooo much easier. Well worth the money if you want a safe solution to hold bodies while you paint
Paint Stands

These stands are just great, they sure make painting and putting together a model a lot easier, they free up your hands so can get a better paint job on the model, or have a part that is hard to install with just one hand. I'm glad I got them.
Extremely Useful
By: DRACONUS64
I love this product, I own 2 sets of these and just bought a third. It really cuts down on painting time having 2 of these and now with 3 I can catch up on building the kits in my overstock. I would recommend to all builders and crafters.
I Needed This and didn’t know it!
The title says it all. I got tired of improvisation and using other, unstable structures that provided no stability at all as worked on my projects. This tool is great and I could not believe I went so long without one! I do love this!
A great tool
By: jjcoley01
These painting stands are terrific. Much better than Styrofoam and wooden sticks. The stands provide a sturdy surface both to paint and to dry parts. And painting car bodies has never been easier. A must have for any modeler.
Gets plenty of use
Getting 2 of these stands at this price is quite a deal. They are adjustable to hold just about any part you'll need to paint, at least if you build cars and trucks like I do. I may buy another set to use during assembly.
good for painting
By: timstamper98
better than i expected it to be. holds my project securely and has a smooth spin to it. I would recommend this product if you have projects that have small parts to be painted. It has numerous point to hold the parts.
will come in handy.

this will be a great addition to my little paint shop. i didn't know i needed one until i got one. great for holding car bodies and most other part's when painting. if you paint with airbrush or can, this is a must.
Turntable
By: Jsmitty426x2
The flat turn table is handy for stabilizing the 1/72 scale planes I build. The second turntable is specifically for car bodies which I don’t build, so I’ll see if I can modify it to work for aircraft parts.
No more fabricated holders
By: Alanittdesigns
Better late than not at all, I should’ve bought this years ago. The spring holders are just what I’ve been missing for my 1/25 scale car bodies. No more building something out of wood to make do. Big Al
Necessary tools!
Another necessity to model building! No more using a can, bottle, or the classic bent coat hanger to support your project for painting.
Very good adjustability for different sizes and simply works great!
You can't go back to cans!
I put this off for far too long, thinking that my methods seemed to be working fine. I got this as a present and once I crossed over, there is no going back. It is really a great piece of equipment.
Cheap Made
By: hermwdrummond
the instructions are in Japanese and the springs are cheaply made, bending easily where they aren't supposed to bend. the price is just way too expensive for a cheap made product.
great stand

i love this stand i want be getting paint on my hands anymore thanks to the stand, havent used it yet but would recommend to anyone who doesnt like to paint there fingers
Works great
Have been using the painting stand set quite a bit the last few days. Has a very smooth bearing for the turn table and can easily hold parts or bodies for spraying.
Love this stand set

I use these stands on every model I build. It makes things so much easier, almost like having a third hand with the little clamps. Works great for painting also!
Awsome
By: iaiaccept
Awsome great asset to my War on Terror diorama. 8'x8' description of activity in Iraq, Afghanistan war zone with US Military Bases and Air Strips.
great paint stand
seemed so small when I opened the box but with the clips, the cab of my 1/14 scale truck was so easy to paint. and not a lot of paint on me either
Painting stand
This is a must have if you airbrush. I have been using different wire contraptions that I have made myself. This makes painting muck easier.
Looks great
haven't used them but the plate seems to spin well and clamp seem good I believe it's a good addition for the paint booth
Wonderful device
By: pawsonfred
Makes the job of painting bodies cleaner and easier - no OOPS with accidental fingerprints, etc. - definitely worth the cost
painting stand

I found that the springs want to walk off the posts. I added 4 small screws and washers to keep the springs on the posts.
Great Stand
By: jdlover
This is a great stand to work with. Fits on small work areas and the turntable makes it easy to get even coats.
