Unlike some of Tamiya's other paints with generic names, like green, this red is exactly what you're imagining when you think of a good, solid red paint. Also, this is the flat version, so keep that in mind, although if you're going to follow it up with a flat clear coat, whether this is a flat or regular red, the final result will be similar.

Tamiya makes the hobby paint on the planet. Its so easy to work with. The coverage is awesome. At first, coming from Testors, I was hesitant because Testors is so thin and barely covers. Once I used it, it was a game changer. I will be switching all my paints to Tamiya.

This paint is flat red, which means that it does not have gloss when painted on the surface. Tamiya Acrylics are high quality paints that have superior coverage. When painting a model that uses flat red, this product is a great option!

Tamiya flat red comes in handy painting tiny red switches in some fighter jet cockpits or painting red taillights on certain tanks. Brushes on evenly no streaks when dried. You can never go wrong with Tamiya paints.

Good as is usual for tamiya, especially if you use an airbrush. Also relatively cheap for the quality.

Easy to use and provides a durable finish. I like the water wash-up!
