Good
The paint brush was so/so quality with a bare wood handle no protective varnish on the handle . But you can spray paint that ugly wood handle and make it pretty if you like . Well the bristles were nice and smooth that it won't leave a brush streak behind so that's a plus . It's a okay brush but typical mass production they weren't all too concerned in finishing the wood part that is called cutting corners in the production line or should say lazy craftsmanship process but you get what you pay for. If you want some good paint brushes I would suggest AK interactive brand for quality wise just saying.
Smooth finish
I can't use a airbrush anymore, so I use these for brush painting. They are much better than synthetic brushes. They don't leave hardly any brush strokes. I use 1/4 or 1/2 inch wide flat brushes. However, I would not recommend any horse hair brushes for small detail painting. They don't have any spring to them. They are just to soft. But I get great results when doing base coats and camouflage. I use Vallejo model color with paint retarder and thinned with water.
