If used properly this will create a very nice gloss finish to a completed model or in preparation for decals. I've used this over lacquers, enamels and acrylics. One light coat followed by 1 or 2 medium coats. My best results are when I have decanted this and sprayed it through an airbrush without thinning further. The spray can nozzle puts out too much paint in my opinion. Don't get too close to your subject to help avoid pooling and/or runs. If sprayed over clear acrylics such as Model Masters or Alclad Aqua Gloss, several mist coats is best. Anything heavier than a mist will tend to attack the acrylic clear and result in a wrinkled finish. It doesn't do this with any colored acrylic paints. As always experiment on a test piece first.

THIS IS A GREAT CLEAR GLOSS LACQUER TO SPRAY OVER DECAL SHEETS, IF YOU ARE GOING TO USE TAMIYA TS-23 CLEAR COAT AS A FINAL CLEAR TOP COAT. TAMIYA IS A LITTLE HOTTER THAN THE TESTORS CLEAR AND ITS HAS WAY MORE SHINE TO IT. BUT TAMIYA CLEAR COULD EAT OR WRINKLE THE DECALS IF SPRAYED DIRECTLY ON THE DECALS, MAKE SURE TO USE LACQUER BASE COATS AS THE TAMIYA CLEAR WILL EAT & WRINKLE ENAMEL PAINT IN A HEART BEAT.

I put 3 pics on of different models I did. As always warm up can in sun or warm water so it will spray on evenly. Needs only one to two coats. If using more coats it will get too thick and won't look as shiny and then there is a possibility of runs or sagging.

Even though, as a historical miniature war-gamer, my projects end up with a matte finish (the sister product dullcote), glosscote is an essential product for protecting paint layers and preparing for ink washes & glazes.
