A Great Match for '64 Ford Thunderbolt Kit
Since I am a friend of the original developer and designer of the '64 Thunderbolt Ford Factory Dragster, my paint match and coverage had to be on the mark. The Spray Burgundy Red Metalic 3 oz paint, as suggested in the kit, was a near perfect. Often, when I build a kit it is modified as either an historic stock car or dragster and I ask the original driver and/or developer to provide background and detail on the model. Working from descriptions, photos and, in some cases, having the restored car available, I complete the kit and then ask for a follow-up critique from my contact. The type modeling I do requires careful attention to paint colors and details added to a standard kit for accuracy. The paint for this project was also easy to use, had good distribution of metal flake and dried to a high gloss sheen without need for extensive polishing.
Model Master 2905, Burgundy Red Metallic
(To the newbs -like myself). This goes on like any other enamel product, a bit heavy, so take your time in application and be ready to do some wet sanding. I prefer to work with lacquer paint as it goes on smoother and dries much quicker. This color is a must if you are building Revell's '64 Ford Fairlane Thinderbolt (85-4408) as it is the correct color to match the paint guide in the instructions. Very, very close to the color presented here online.
Excellent
Some of the best paint I've used from a spray can. The color layed down flawlessly. I wouldn't hesitate in buying it again.
