Reviews : Testors Clear Parts Cement 1 oz Carded

I've used this product before, ran out and then tried to finesse a little Testors regular glue around the edge of a clear window piece. Oops, it fogs it way more than one would think. And BTW, most clear polyurethane paint will fog the heck out of clear plastic pieces. So, it's best to clear coat your model before using the Testors Clear Cement to install your windows in your models. Probably a con of this product is that it doesn't weld the two pieces together as well as the regular glues, but it doesn't fog the clear pieces either.

I wanted to use it for filling small window opening and didn't like this stuff for this at all. It's way too thin and runny, which lets it go everywhere it wasn't supposed to go. It takes forever to set up, giving it plenty of time to go everywhere it wasn't supposed to go, and is bubbles pure when squeezed out of the bottle. The exact opposite of what you want. Might be OK for glueing canopies into place, but for filling window openings not so much.

I haven't used any other glue for clear parts so I can't really compare, but this stuff works really well. The only issue that had with it was trying to using to to glue in parts that I have already painted. The glue took awhile to actually hold and took regluing to make sure it stayed. The fine tip makes for a great applicator as long as you don't cut off too much of the tip. Highly recommend to aircraft and car modelers as if wont fog the glass.

Being a life-long fan of Testors products and equally loyal, I gave this cement 5 stars. It works great and simplifies the cementing process. One can probably get good results with other canppy glues, such as Evergreen glue, or even Elmers' white glue, but I like working with this cement and will continue to use until no longer available. The narrow tipped-bottle is great for controlling the amount of glue being dispensed. I recommend it!

Used this product for the first time and it worked great. No crazed windows!!! Applied a little to a card and dipped an Superfine Microbrush into the glue and applied it around the outside of a window casting and applied clear plastic. Even used it to applied window curtains. Dried clear with no mess. Nice to find a product that does what it said it will do.

I tried this out when I was working with a model notorious for having fit issues with window pieces. In the past, there was the risk of burning fingerprints into the clear plastic. This went on and dried completely clear, even when I purposely manhandled extra pieces the clear. Wish I had found this sooner, makes things so much easier.

Why I EVER stopped using this clear parts cement is beyond me Ordered this and used it on my latest A-4 build recently and was extremely pleased. It is easy to control and dries clear as well as strong. I won't be using anything else from now on. Good consistency and good hold. If you haven't tried it, do so....you won't be sorry

Fantastic bottle design that makes for easy placement when in the 'rush' to stick pieces together after applying the glue. The cap design is well thought out as well and lends itself to easy removal and replacement. This is the only product I use when gluing near windows or plastic 'water' elements on my miniatures.

amazing for all clear parts leaves no white marks like regular testers glue. the bottle has built in fin tip that lets you be very precise. great glue. use it on every model i build. its completely worth the money. the only con i found is the dry time is a little on the long side but thats about it

This glue works great for windows because you don't get the haze that you get with regular model glue. It dries clear, and if you do get squeeze out on a window you can wait for it to dry and gently scrape it away with the back of the blade on a hobby knife. Highly recommend!

Has more viscosity than Microscale Kristal Klear, which is very handy when you have a window you can just drop it in and then drop the cement around it, using the long spout. The spout lets you get to the area easily. Of course it makes a window too, if you need one.

It's not cheap, but well worth the money. No matter how careful I was I seemed to get glue on the glass. This stuff is worth the money. I'm still as careful as I can be, but now my small mistakes are not noticeable. I HIGHLY recommend this product.

This took forever to dry and it wasn't totally clear, slightly yellowish. It also totally ruined my perfectly painted tail lights on a model. I only used a slight bit, but it ran all down into the taillight causing the clear red to be a all messed up.

i have been using this for year's now. it's as good as the reviews say. it also last's me for a while for what i use it for. just keep the top on tight and it will last for quite some time. i have let it sit for a year or more and it still flows just fine.

Bonds great with no sloppy stringy stuff. If you smear some by accident, clean it off with some water and maybe dish liquid before it sets up. 1 bottle should last quite a while as you only use a small bead. Get some--you won't regret it!

I gave it five stars after I tested and tested and tested making small tiny windows. You may have to do it in layers for bigger windows of a 1/4 inch, and yes it does bubble. But you can get great results by practicing.

used this glue for the first time and it works excellent way better than white glue that I have used in the past. It dries quick and clear. It will make my life working on clear parts a lot easier and quicker

This is a very nice glue for clear plastic parts! Also, you can make a clear window of this if you are careful enough. Nice with no more glue marks on the clear glass or your models! Worth buying!!

The regular cement will make your clear parts blurry and smeared. Buying this product will help make your models professional and airplane cockpits and car windshields looking great.

This glue is absolutely the best for clear parts. No hazing,and good hold. I also use this to make headlight lenses for when you drill out the chrome headlights on a one piece grill.

Easy to like this glue, doesn't frost clear parts at all. Thin enough to virtually disappear. Would be nice if it set-up a little faster but not hard to work with.

gone are the days of fogged up clear parts , i use this on all my clear parts and have never had any problems with this glue a must have

Outstanding cement for clear parts! Great quality, very handy applicator and drying time is way shorter than other clear parts cements.

Makes a clean job for gluing in your windows doesn't fogg up. Really recommend this glue for installing your windows for your models

I had my doubts about any glue that claimed not to mar model aircraft canopies or vehicle windows. I wish I had found this earlier!
