The kit I received was defective. The instructions even cited the defect and told you to compensate for it. The problem was that they used a defective mold which caused an alignment slot to be missing on 8 pieces. To compensate you had to trim of the alignment tabs on the opposite piece. since there are only two per piece it made the assembly difficult to make square. There was mention of the defect in the instructions but no mention in the description. This item should have been pulled and the mold repaired before selling more items.

As a beginner at kit building, I found this tricky but manageable. The instructions are confusing in places because they seem to use the same term to refer to different things, and there is only one picture. There are some defects due to a worn-out mold that you will need to adjust for, so its a good idea to read the instructions all the way through before starting to be aware of those.

This kit is really well designed. It goes together well without having to rebuild or remanufacture the kit. The parts fit! It makes a nice looking, properly dimensioned water tank that is an asset to any scene It is placed in. It is quite a step up from the ready built scenic items like Bachmann or Atlas. And, it is fun to build if you like kits!

Great kit.this is a craftsman type kit in plastc fun to build.looks good on the layout.petticoat junction.

Although the spout was a little difficult to position and hold, it is a goog finish product!
