A Much Better Alternative To A Plastic Miter Box
Purchased a plastic box few years back and needless to say, it didn't go well. The slots cut easily, none of the razor saw blades or xacto blades fit correctly. Upon seeing that this box is metal and made by Zona, it was worth a shot. Its use is for cutting small styrene and wood stock for n scale detailing. Cut several straight and 45 deg cuts of .25 x .04 styrene and the outcome was very good. The ridges on the bottom are nice, a side edge to hold against a table and mounting hole. The best thing, all the razor saw blades of the Zona 35-140 4n1 fit. The only negative experienced is there are a few slots that are a little sharper than expected.
Pretty Good Little Miter Box
I've used this one a lot since I purchased it for cutting various thickness and shaped styrene, and it works well. The channels in the bottom are different sized, so you should be able to find one that fits the size of the piece you're cutting so that it's pretty well head steady while cutting. Saw channels are plenty wide enough for the hobby saw I'm using.
