"Good quality product from Italieri"

My first time with Italieri. Quality, fit, and precision is about the same as Revell, but still one notch below Tamiya. 1/48 scale is a good size, parts are not too small, not too difficult to build. But still not for a beginner. The most difficult parts to assemble are in the open missiles area, and the doors, but you can choose the closed option. The plane is better looking in the closed (flying) alternative than with the underneath doors open. But then you will need a stand, the kit does not come with a stand. Overall, a satisfying build for the price.

This F-22 kit is the successor to the Revell kit, and, to most, is the cheapest kit. The planes is said to have major fit problems. Also, the weapons bays can't be selected to be shut! That's not cool. I mean it's POSSIBLE for the bays to be closed, but it'll take some work. The kit comes with a full loadout of AIM-120 AMRAAM missiles and AIM-9 missiles. There are also BLU-109 guided penetration bombs.

"Frustration at its worst."

If you like spending your time trying to get parts to fit and/or line up, this model is for you. At least half of the parts don't match adjoining parts. Building this model is an exercise if constant frustration. I suggests that being dragged around the village square by a team of horses would be a more pleasurable experience. After beginning assembling this model I remembered that several years ago I swore off buying this company's products because of poorly fitting parts. It's cheap but still not worth the money.
