Italeri's GMC cargo truck makes into a nice model - but it takes some work. Part fit was mostly good, but there are a few areas that needed extensive sanding to look reasonable. In particular, most of the suspension and drive train parts had large mold shift, and to get the parts to align correctly required much sanding/grinding/puttying. If you want to mount the 50 caliber gun, you have to cut a hole in the roof. This required a bit of care and filler, but was not as difficult as I thought it would be. The truck bed and cab went together fairly well, although there are no parts for the brake, clutch and acceleration peddles, so I made my own from scratch. The seated figure that comes with the kit is very stiff looking, and I chose not to use him. The kit also includes the option to mount a winch to the front bumper, but pay attention to the instructions or you will miss it like I did. Getting the bed to attach evenly to the frame was a bit challenging, but in the end I was able to do it without too much swearing. This is an older kit, and it comes with a lower part count than most newer kits. There are decals for a U.S. truck from WWII, and a French truck from post WWII. The kit turned out very nice, and overall I would recommend it.

Not a review, just a comment on the 1st review. Having to cut a hole in the roof to mount the Machine Gun seems fitting. The unit history of my dad's battalion in WWII states that they had to cut a hole in the roof of these trucks when they were issued with a .50 cal to pull the M55 quad machine guns.
