My dad is an n-scale hobbiest. I was reluctant until he got me this set for Christmas. You can set this track and train up nearly anywhere and it runs perfect. For anyone that is new to trains or left the hobby due to complications, this is the way to go!

This was my first n scale purchase. Kato did not disappoint. I have since graduated to a larger layout and DCC controller, however, I still use every component of this start up package. The loco has been converted to DCC and look stunning running around my layout. Don't be fooled, This is a starter set, but nothing about the loco is inferior. It is a highly detailed model. The track has been incorporated into my layout. I also still use the analogue power pack to test and brake in new locos prior to installing DCC in them. This is a wonderful little start up pack with lots of room for expansion.
