This is an Dual Crossing Gate Power-Loc(TM) Model Railroad Operating Accessory in HO Scale from Life-Like Trains.

One HO Scale Operating Dual Crossing Gate Track Section.

Features

Each corner of the piece has a patch of realistically molded plastic turf.
A section of Lifelike Trains Power-Loc track runs through the center.
A black plastic two lane road crosses the track. RR XING is painted in yellow on each lane in front of the railroad tracks.
Each side of the road has a black and yellow striped crossing gate with a railroad crossbuck sign and transparent red signal light
lenses.
When the train approaches, both gates automatically lower and remain down until the last car passes.
Works with all rail-joiner track when used with Power-Link Adapter Track (#21314, sold separately).

A Good Working Accessory

Years ago when I built a fairly large layout I had one of these Crossing Gates and recall having to raise the in bound and out bound sections of track up to the level of the in-laid track in the accessory. As the locomotive approaches a certain point the gates will come down with a fair amount of reliability and for the most part remain down for the length of the train. All discounting aside, this is a fairly good rendition of a realist gate and will work well for the beginner as well as most of us old hands. There is an option that I would use if I had one or two of these and that is to wire grain of wheat bulbs directly to the section of track that this accessory is guarding for realistic operations.
