First Mid Power Rocket
By dparoff June 2, 2013
This was my first mid-power rocket project. It was scary at first thinking that there would be a lot more to the construction than a regular model rocket. Once I received the kit and started to build it, it turned out to be a very simple process using similar techniques, just stronger bonding adhesives. I have flown this rocket over a dozen times now, and it has been one of my favorite fliers in my line-up. Definitely a fun little rocket that packs a large motor. A must have for everyone that flies rockets.

Aura
By dflrhh June 11, 2014
A great rocket to build, quality parts and pieces. Fitted mine with a g80-10t. Flew straight and ture but never saw it again! Gonna buy another asap.

One tough bird
By wallyum August 4, 2014
A very basic rocket that very basically screams off the pad. The Aura is a minimum diameter bird that is incredibly durable when built properly. My brother-in-law has one that he has tried to fly to death, but the Aura is so tough that only a massive CATO is going to do it in. The nose cone didn't completely eject on a NARAM flight in 2013 and it came in hot, solidly striking the launch pad and drawing a wince from everyone on the flightline. The paint on the body tube was scraped, but the body tube was still solid, and every fin was still in place. Another impressive LOC bird to consider as a first mid-power kit.

Pick a different kit
By dvfreelancer January 31, 2016
Don't buy this kit. The engine mount is so poorly designed it has no forward stop to keep the engine from blowing through the rocket tube and nothing to stop the engine from blowing out backwards from the ejection charge. You either have to engineer a wire hook yourself or use tape to secure the engine. Overall, a very poor design. You'd be better off spending more money on a kit that has better components. There's a reason some kits cost $80 and, sometimes, it's worth spending a little more.
