"Fantastic"

Moebius once again brings my childhood to life with their model of the Voyager ship from the animated TV series Fantastic Voyage from the mid sixties... The kit is an excellent representation of the Voyager from the series and (as with other Moebius kits) is well executed in 1/72nd scale... The kit builds into a nice display model straight from the box and painted as recommended... It's a very basic kit with few exterior details however the interior contains some nice pieces that show a decent amount of detail that can be brought out with a little paint work... The kit does have far more potential though with a little extra work by the modeler... Highly recommended for all modelers...

Not quite the vessel from a certain movie but similar and very fun to build. Biggest challenge is painting interior - you may want to put down a coat a white inside the cabin first to avoid the color showing through. The interior itself provides 3 different control consoles to detail along with 4 crew members. Take note: two of the crew may be mis-labled - look for the turban. Overall, the ship looks really impressive when finished. Like so many other great kits, many of the little details will go unnoticed but you'll know they're there! It comes with a fancy-looking base too but I make most of my craft to fly. Perhaps I'll use the base for something else . . .
