"Nice Kit, but read this first"
GB (Madison, AL)
This particular Cobra 427 S/C is available in three different kits: 1. The Revell of Germany kit is typically shown as a green #2 race car in a European style box (opens at each end). 2. The Revell kit is shown the same way but in an American style box (lift off top). Both of the above kits produce one of two race car versions (#2 or #11), so the kit includes a hood with scoop, engine with one carburetor, a roll bar, an optional cockpit cover, both the regular and a racing mini-windshield, mag wheels and wide racing tires. There is no convertible top, no bumpers, and no wire wheels. 3. The Monogram (or Monogram/Revell) kit shown here is the same model but with slightly different parts and instructions (all use the same drawings, though) in an American style box. This kit produces the street car, so it includes dual carbs, wire wheels, street tires, bumpers, an optional convertible top, and for some odd reason, the hood has no air scoop. All three kits are nice, have the same body, chassis parts, basic engine parts, etc., so the parts are interchangeable.

I recently built this kit and oh my is this a good kit it is so nicely done and looks great it is very nice looking and easy to assemble I had absolutely no issues with this kit it took about a month but that is not going constantly at it. It's funny how small this kit is and it is a 1/24th scale kit compared to all the other kits I have built it is very small but just like the real thing those are also very small it is a lot of fun highley reccomend

This is a very nice kit for the model enthusiast. This is a reissued kit from the late 1980s and is handsomely done with fine details created on the cobra emblems as well as the 427 engine plates on the two front ¼ panels. The chassis is meticulous sculptured and you won't be disappointed. Engine details are quite accurate and the double barrel holley carburetors adds to the finishing touch. This kit does not come with a rollbar, however two semi-drilled holes are on the inside of the body. Additionally, there are no interior side panels for the doors just the inside of the body, thus painting that portion to the car’s interior should be considered or you can scratch build the side panels with ease since it relativity simple in the actual car. Light work will be needed to make the hood flushed with the body and some alignment work will be required to mount the side exhausts to the headers. The spoke rims come in two pieces and little work will be needed to fine tune the spokes. Since there are a lot of chrome being displayed, it is best to strip the chrome parts and redo them with Alclad Chrome Lacquer (ALC5114) for that “pro look”.

This is a beautiful kit and i love the ac cobra the are just a track monster and even by today's standards there quick. but be careful with this kit i learned that the hard way as it is very easy to break pieces like the suspension and the windshield is annoying and kinda complicated to put on this is definitley a kit for more experienced people although good looking it will annoy you if you are just starting out at model kits
