Wanted to add a LED signal to display the current connection of a OPS-PRG track section. Thought initially about making one but decided to see if something usable was commercially available. Looked around quite a bit for a small, black, ground level Bi-Color or 2 LED signal, and stumbled upon the NJ International 2100 product.
The Red and Green LEDs inside are more than bright enough with the supplied and pre-attached limiting resistors. The DCC programming track provides power to the signal with an added shared limiting resistor, to further reduce the brightness and power consumption, in series with a diode.
The vertical lighting fixture was not perpendicular to the base for the unit received. Unsure whether this is an isolated case or by manufacturer design.
While this is a simple device to connect, would like to see the printed info supplied with the product on the website. The only negative with this signal is price though at around the $19-$22 its not a bad value, at MSRP, would consider alternatives.
