War of the Worlds Diorama

Fun to put together, and there are small details you discover as you assemble to add to the piece,

This model is a dream! So much to do with it, and lots of painting of course! Pieces fit together well, so almost no filling or sanding required. After painting my base a grass green, I also applied some sprinkle on grass on top of it for added effect. A solution of watered down white glue applied first is all that's needed. One cool effect I added was to the clear plastic laser beam/blast. I used transparent airbrush paints (yellow, orange, red) to give it a see-thru glowing effect. Also, I used clear model sprue on the War Machines to attach to the base to give it a fake invisible hovering effect. Any clear pastic rod will do. This model was so much fun, I highly recommend it!
