"old kit, lots of details"

Apparently this kit has been in production for many years. The doors, hood and trunk all open, but can be difficult to align and look good when all closed up. There is a ton of detail and parts on this kit. The options in the kit allow you to build it stock, ed roth version which is lowered, or gasser version. It does not come with wide slicks so if you want to build it as a gasser you might want to pick up some tires for it. This kit is not really for beginners due to all the extra parts and details, but you never know, give it a shot. one important note: The front glass is TOO SMALL. I had to set it in place carefully and fill the remaining gaps with epoxy.

There has been nothing positive about this kit. It is a Revell and I am surprised at the low quality. Being an old kit doesn't justify the absence of quality. I am hopeful though that my kit was the runt of the litter. The Body appears as it was pieced together. The frame has 14 mold circles requiring much sanding if realism is desired. The tube grille had two tubes broken. The quality of the chrome plating is cheap. Hood has too much spacing on the sides. Xacto blades fits loosely between the fender side and hood. Rear bumper doesn't fir - too wide for body. Bumper is dented. Realism? Parts of the frame and body looks like they were hand formed. Crinkles on the outside of the body from parts on the backside, e.g., the mounting for the door hinges. Sprue connections were as large as possible, and excess of connections. Screws the plated parts. There is a host of more issues, e.g., instructions. This kit may not even be good for bashing, but it is now my experiment kit.
