F-104G Starfighter RCAF

Though this kit looks like it is a re-issue of the older F-104 Kit,just with new decals and boxart, It still remains a very nice model.The detail is good and I experienced no fit problems.The decal sheet is good with markings for two aircraft, one Canadian and one USAF.I used the decal sheet from the Testors F-104 Kit on mine to depict an F-104C. The kit has very detailed landing gear and may built with the cannon bay open and speed brakes deployed. Again a very nice model from Revell at a very low price.Highly Recommended.

As others have mentioned, this is a good kit for the price. The fit is pretty good overall, but the instructions are not detailed so be prepared for it. Also, the painting guide is not the best either. So, like all good modelers do your research. The wings of most US 104's are painted white. Other references, if you want to model an air defender F-104, have the jet painted with the outboard side of the fuel tanks and tail surface orange. This kit is also a challenge to properly duplicate the colors of the tail empennage. Steel, titanium, aluminum, smoke, etc. were tried, but in my effort, with little success in matching the color variation. The kit builds into a beautiful representation of the jet so I recommend it for those who like the man in the missile. Have fun and enjoy.

An easy model to build. All the parts fit together well with minimal trimming. Most difficult part was the three piece canopy. Decals went on easily and instruction are very good. Painted the body of plane aluminum. Nice looking aircraft when completed.
