This kit has some really nice updates on it. First off, the old kits had 3 chrome trees. This one has only one. That is nice because most of the sprint cars now have painted wings not bare aluminum. That saves you a step from having to strip the chrome plating off. The body work is also updated to what 90% of what cars run now. It still comes with the old body work too. The old kits had the tires with goodyear molded into them. This kit has Hoosier printed on the tires. Its beautiful how they look. The only thing that i have found incorrect for this kit is the top wing. The wings used now are flat on top where as this kit still supplies you with a curved wing. Just a minor thing but some people like details.

I have the quaker state version of this kit and it is awesome. Very tricky to build but fun and very authentic.
