Just completed this model. Found it nice to work with and was the 3rd ship model in Skywave's line of WW2 US Destroyers. Previously completed the DE Rudderrow class (which has 2 models) and the Livermore class. Built the Benson class as a more 1945 version (modernized) by adding to aft deck house the configuration for 2 twin 40mm's, replace the single 20mm's with twin 20mm's aft of stack and installed only 1 quintuple torpedo tube; installed 4 5inch turrets instead of the 2 enclosed and 3 half-enclosed turrets. There are probably 3 variations you can choose from to build with the extra parts included by Skywave. Used a modified Measure 2 camouflage which is a graded system, lower half of hull is a dark gray, upper part of hull is med gray as well as the vertical services; deck is painted in weather deck blue, but should have used the Model Master Intermediate blue instead (too dark otherwise for this scale ship). Have the whale boats hanging over sides instead of inside the railings.
Would recommend for perhaps a more experienced modeler if going to do any converting.
