British 25 pounder Field Gun

I have built this kit several times over since its introduction in the 1970s and purchased one several years ago to make a conversion. I built the 25 Pound gun inside the body of the U.S.Army Priest as an experimental self propelled artillery as the pre Sexton might have been shown. The actual piece was installed experimentally for the British army. I have the Chevy Prime Mover available to add to this present towed version and an extra limber. As I built the 25lb'r before I noted that the parts went together without any fit problems as expected in the high quality of Tamiya, even back on the early days as the Tamiya part number indicates for the most part the issue of the kits produced. Although the figures are a bit on the heavy plastic mold side, they are quite adequate for the role of a crew and adding the towed version would be any different in posing the figures as the artillery crews maintained the exact same positions throughout artillery firing. Second Loader, First Loader, etc. the poses will not be any different. I would highly recommend that anyone wanting to display the two various firing batteries consider what I'm doing as one section of artillery can be made up of both towed and self propelled, after all, the results are the same!!
