Built to Last

My model was from an older release and worked out just as well and added to a desert scene was perfect! I built the kit straight from the box and added a BREN gun to the rear firing position along with the German 20mm cannon inside the truck bed. The kit is full of detailing possibilities and the list of items to add is almost as much as you could store in the rear bed without crowding out the gunner crewman. It is a welcome addition to any British model collection.

great truck,front suspension a little tricky, Breda 20mm very tricky, as the other writer said not all carried radios, also note these trucks were outfitted by their crews, i had not realized only one per patrol thank you. it is a fun kit to build also note they weren't all equiped with a lewis gun, some used a vickers K gun.

LRDG radio vehicle. with Berda 20mm / Black Scorpion

This is the standard kit of the radio truck. It builds up into a great model OTB or detailed out.the Berda is the fairly new gun from Italarie. Another great kit. Few things to remember : 1). Only one radio truck per unit 2). Most trucks were basic trucks. Simple fix is to replace the doors with .040mm sheet. Just copy the other side. Some photos show that box at the front of the cargo box extended to full width. Others show no box at all. Therefore ,your choice. 3). Black Scorpion cannon armed trucks. The Berda was highly prized among the troops. Basically,clean out the bed. No radio or box at front. Standard bed without radio doors. Most photos show the ground mount form . Wheels removed and stored and the sitting on its three point base. FYI, towing wasn't encouraged. It used up too much fuel.
