This is a very easy plane too build The parts fit well and there good detail in the cockpit but no pilot. The plane can be build in a day and panted the next. The landing gear and canopy can be shown up or down. the decals are easy. A good plane for any modeler.

Tamiya kits are detailed and easy to build, and this Fw-190 is just as good as any of their other kits. The instructions are clear and the pieces fit together beautifully, even the tiniest and most fiddly ones. The cockpit features an instrument panel, sidewall details, and a safety harness for the seat, so you have plenty to admire through the open canopy. The only hassle I ran into was the landing gear: one leg went on without a hitch, but the other was spongy and never quite set right. This was my mistake, as I rushed the construction instead of letting it wait for the morning. Tamiya's decals look thick, but I've always found them to work well with hot water and a touch of setting solution; the only problem with the decals in this kit is how obvious the choices are, with each of the three aircraft wearing the same mottled grey camouflage scheme. That makes it a basic kit, but a good one.
