My favorite of these type tank kits from Tamiya

I like this version of this tank kit the most because of the armor panels. In real life, these would get dinged up and otherwise damaged in the field, and it adds a lot of personality when you modify the kit in this way. The panels along the sides are all modeled together, but can be cut apart if you like. I put some of mine askew, bent up the corners, drilled some bullet holes and made them look like the paint was scratched off. Quite nice.

Great kit

This is a great kit from Tamiya. The details are nice and crisp. As with any Tamiya kit I have built, there is very little flash, always a great fit and the instructions are very easy to follow. I was a little disappointed by the rubber band tracks as I feel you get better detail out of molded plastic ones. The armor plates are a nice addition as I built the Ausf. j version as well, and they really set it apart. It also provides a bigger platform to include battle damage. I'd recommend this kit to anyone, as the only thing I saw wrong with the kit were personal preferences.
