Tandem Metal Car Trailer

This little trailer was just what I needed to complete a diorama that included an old pickup and an old race car. It worked well for my purposes and assembly was a breeze. It's really sturdy because a lot of the trailer is made of metal; however, that also adds weight when attaching it to a plastic model. Like a real trailer, one has to account for trailer tongue weight or else the towing vehicle will be in a permanent wheelie! The metal construction also makes it somewhat more difficult to add effects like aging, dents and wear from usage. Different techniques have to be applied to achieve the same effects possible on plastic models. Overall, it is a good buy and the price is right. While I'm sure there were sound reasons for using metal instead of plastic, but for the sake of weight, I think I would have preferred plastic.

this is nice little trailer for the price. it has a metal deck with plastic ramps and springs. it has metal axle pins and vynal tires. the detail is a little lacking for the purist and may be a turnoff for any plastic enthusiast but overall its not bad. its a great alternative for a newer modeler that doesnt yet have the skills to scratch build a trailer

it took very little to assemble. i have a camaro sitting on mine behind a stepside chevy. it was very easy to put together, all the parts were included. the only con is it is easy to overtighten the screws so be easy when tightening up. this trailer makes a great edition to any modelers collection and i would highly recommend this product.
